Reproductive Options was founded in 2020 by ASRM member Kayla Reveal, who has lived this industry from every angle: as an egg donor, an IVF patient, and a surrogate herself, before building Reproductive Options from the ground up. As a former surrogate, Kayla built this agency as a true reflection of her values: created by a surrogate, for surrogates.

Start your journey by taking our short surrogacy quiz. This helps you learn more about the process, understand the requirements for becoming a surrogate, and see if surrogacy is the right path for you.

Step 2 – Complete Your Surrogate Application

Fill out our comprehensive surrogate application, providing detailed information about your medical history, lifestyle, and personal goals.

Step 3 – Upload Required Documents

Review and sign all intake documents, including: agency agreement, OB/GYN clearance, and benefits package selection. You can also upload supporting documents, such as insurance cards, pay stubs, vaccination records, and more. This ensures we have everything we need to proceed safely and efficiently.

Step 4 – Set Your Matching Preferences

Choose your matching preferences, including: location of intended parent(s), type of relationship you’d like with them, communication style, and other personal preferences. This step ensures we create matches that are compatible and aligned with your values.

Step 5 – Background Check & Virtual Interview

We conduct a background check on you and any household members over 18, along with a virtual interview and virtual home visit. This step prioritizes safety and helps us understand your home environment and support system.

Step 6 – Your Records, Reviewed by a Nurse on Our Team

Once you give your consent, our in-house Registered Nurse reviews your medical records to make a preliminary eligibility determination. Your information stays with our team, not an outside vendor. The intended parents’ fertility clinic then gives the final approval.

Step 7 – Surrogate Profile & Final Review

All your information is compiled into a surrogate profile highlighting your experience, personality, and values for potential intended parent(s). Once you approve your profile and your medical records receive preliminary approval, we move to the next step: matching you with the intended parent(s)!

We’re selective. That’s how we protect you.

Carrying a baby for someone else will change your life. It asks a lot of you: your body, your time, your family’s patience. So we ask a lot of ourselves first.

Every application gets a careful, personal review. Not to shut doors, but to make sure this is the right fit for everyone involved, and that includes you. Our requirements exist to protect you, the baby, the intended parents, and the people who love you.

Meet them, and you won’t just be approved. You’ll start a journey that’s safe, supported, and something you’ll be proud of for the rest of your life.

To be eligible to become a surrogate with Reproductive Options, you must:

Be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
Be between 21 and 39 years old
Maintain a healthy BMI between 19 and 32
Have had at least one successful pregnancy
Be financially stable
Have a support system — this could be family, friends, or a partner
Maintain stable mental health
Not use recreational drugs
Have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Pass a background check, along with any household members over 18

Compensation

You’ll be paid like what you’re doing matters. Because it does.

Experienced surrogates can earn up to $100,000 in base compensation. That’s before benefits, and it’s yours to put toward your family’s future: a home, a degree, a cushion, a fresh start.

And you have a say. You’re encouraged to set your own base fee, adjusted for your experience, your state, and the specifics of your journey. We’d rather you ask for what you’re worth than guess.

Every surrogacy-related medical cost is covered, and your compensation comes on top of that, not out of it. Your benefits package can include medical coverage, a maternity clothing allowance, and more.
